Review of The Chumscrubber (2005) by Sok K — 04 Aug 2008
I really liked this movie. A satirical dark comedy about growing up in the Rx age in idyllic suburban communities that can be found anywhere in Americal. It touches on this facade sense of community that these communities give the impression of yet we're more disconnected than ever to each other.
Despite proximity to each other we are disconnected due to our individual self absorbed persuits. Kids from parents, teens from adults, husband from wives, neighbors from neighbors, and so on. Anyways, that's one thing I got from the movie.
Definitely worth watching. Check it out from the library. That's what I did.
