Review of The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury (2004) by Drew S — 08 Jun 2008
My favorite scene was the implausible fire extinguisher cloud battle -- some spectacular motion there. The rest of it was pretty unnecessary. First of all, it doesn't bridge any gap -- as far as I can tell they're in pretty much the same place at the end as at the beginning.
It's basically a half hour of fellating Riddick's character (making him LESS cool than when everyone despised him). I like Chung's action and settings, but not his people; they always look hideous.
Riddick's nose is long and pointed and his mouth is seven miles wide; has Chung even SEEN Vin Diesel?
