Review of The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury (2004) by Jake F — 13 Aug 2009
This movie is a great 35 minute spectacular. The reason that it works so well with Pitch Black, and Chronicles of Riddick is that it contains perfect animation. The characters are drawn exactly what they would look like as anime or cartoon characters.
The way the 3D characters look in the 2D world with the 2D characters makes the movie look like its live action versions. I am an art student and know what is good in animation and this works great. The action scenes feel like the live action ones.
The movie is like a full Riddick movie in 35 minutes.
