Review of The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury (2004) by Dj — 10 Aug 2008
This animated featurette is a very enjoyable supplement to the Riddick experience. It takes place directly after Pitch Black and follows Riddick and his companions as they are captured by bounty hunters in deep space and held aboard their ship.
The animation is top-notch which is no surprise considering Peter Chung was involved. He is best known for the Aon Flux animated series that appeared on MTV in the 90's. Both Anime fans and sci-fi fans will get a kick out of this one, and despite it's short run time it is worth renting.
I would even venture to say that the over-all experience is more satisfying than The Chronicles of Riddick feature film.
