Review of The Chronicles of Riddick (2004) by Albert J — 09 Oct 2009
Oh. My. God. This does not qualify as a movie. I don't think the movie even know what century it took place in. Chain mail and laser beams? Intergalactic space travel and medieval warfare? Not only this, but the 'acting' was painful to watch and the story was.
.. aw, who am I kidding. There is no story. Also, they screw around with the mythology from Pitch Black so bad that now there's a whole SPECIES of people who can see in the dark... it wasn't the cool sci-fi surgery we were told about.
Oh, but they're all dead. Because this medieval dude blew them up and wants to be king? Or something... I'm not sure. But he was married to Thandie Newton and they were brainwashing people to have religion? Also there's wind-people (thanks, Judi Dench, for your absolutely useless role in this despicable film).
Don't ask. Seriously, just don't ask.
