Review of The Chronicles of Riddick (2004) by Mloy X — 03 Mar 2012

Heaven help me but I do like this movie and I feel no shame in admitting that this is one of my all-time, cinematic guilty pleasures. I've enjoyed this film franchise thus far (with the sequel to this film coming out in 2013) and can honestly say that the franchise has transitioned from the sci-fi monster flick, "Pitch Black" into the sci-fi action flick, (the animated short film "Dark Fury" and this film) splendidly; benefitting especially from a good, strong supporting cast, beautiful CG, and a somewhat interesting plot.

My only complaint is that they should have kept Jack Jack (no disrespect to Alexa Davalos) but I do favor the sexually-ambiguous Jack from "Pitch Black"!
