Voyage of the Dawn Treader sails by at a pace that to fans of the book, might seem detrimental. As a children's film you don't have to worry about it's length causing the youngsters to lose interest, but the 1:52 min running time feels awkwardly paced and the episodic nature of the source material feels off as a result.
As an adaptation of a beloved fantasy novel, it certainly would have benefited from a longer running time. Despite it's faults, Dawn Treader is an excellent addition to the Narnia film series, and certainly one that deserves several theatrical viewings.
