Review of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010) by Don S — 27 Aug 2011
Another visually stunning effort in this series. I was a bit skeptical that the two youngest Pevensies could carry the load, but that thought went away quickly. This was equally as good as Prince Caspian (sad that Disney no longer has anything to do with the movies). An engrossing story, wonderful CGI and above average acting. To make it all the better, the movie hit a homerun with me by including this conversation:
"It isn't Narnia, you know," sobbed Lucy. "It's you. We shan't meet you there. And how can we live, never meeting you?".
"But you shall meet me, dear one," said Aslan.
"Are -are you there too, Sir?" said Edmund.
"I am," said Aslan. "But there I have another name. You must learn to know me by that name. This was the very reason why you were brought to Narnia, that by knowing me here for a little, you may know me better there.".
