Review of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010) by Martel J — 23 Nov 2011
Although the cast's acting continues to improve, unfortunately, the plot did not. Yes, I'm one of those purists. Now, I can take some artistic license. I'm rather fond of the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, but this was a complete mess.
Watch the BBC versions of Narnia. Yes, the "special effects" are horrible, and some of the actors *coughtheWhiteWitchcough* are over-the-top, but it remains faithful to the books and I find them much more compelling than the newer movies.
On a side note, Will Poulter did an excellent job as Eustace Scrubb. He was one of the few bright spots in the movie.
