Review of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010) by Matthew A — 05 Jul 2013
Director Michael Apted provides a visually arresting adaptation of C.S. Lewis' third book in the Narnia series. This entry is primarily a nautical voyage, which serves as a metaphor for the story and its characters.
Plus, Apted and his writers provide hints of the overall story arc in ways that elevate this movie above its predecessors. Veteran cinematographer Dante Spinotti creates a wonderful palette of color all throughout the picture.
Dawn Treader is a very satisfying entry in the Narnia series.
