Review of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005) by Fdlh — 11 Jan 2006
I can't believe this film got such a high mark. It's extremely mawkish, simplistic, full of cinematographic commonplaces, clichés, and is sexist in many ways (queen =evil, king=young boy (although the sister discovered everything in the first place)=good).
In the end, it comes out as very common and trite.
