Review of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008) by Tom R — 02 Apr 2012
I love this 2nd adventure installment of Narnia because this one has a darker story, great acting from the leads and better special effects. I also love the extensive use of beautiful scenes shot in New Zealand and Central Europe.
What makes this movie remarkable is its excellent crafted story and plot about Prince Caspian's quest to his kingdom. The 4 lead children grown a lot in acting and character. While Ben Barnes as the prince in this titular saga of Narnia was excellent and fit for the role.
I knew he would have a clash with Peter in the story. I also find this installment a move-away from the enchanted animals and more about human involvement in the mythical world of Narnia. Lastly, the end of this movie was emotional for me, as this will be the last adventure that the four lead siblings will appear together as two of the siblings character won't be able to comeback to the Narnia world because they've learned a lot already to be grown up.
I love the theme song "The Call" by Regina Spektor played by the end of the movie. The song set the tone for an emotional but feel good ending for this Narnia movie.
