Review of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008) by Nathan N — 29 Sep 2012
In the next chapter of the Narnia series the Penvensie children are called back to help bring the land back again from the hands of a tyrant. After only a year had passed for the children in England they return to Narnia to find that it has been 1300 years since they left the country and the land is quite different than when they left it.
The rightful heir to the throne , Prince Caspian is on the run from his uncle Miraz who intends to kill him after his wife bore their first son. With the throne in jeopardy and true Narnian's in hiding the four set off to help restore order once again to the land.
Andrew Adamson (Shrek ) takes the helm again as director/ co writer which stays true to the heart of the story while making enough changes to facilitate more action, intrigue and teenage angst. Adamson has successful followed the path of the Harry Potter series by allowing the films to mature while keeping to true to the source material.
Though the film is a bit of a bumpy road at times like a teen, in the end we find the journey is worth it.
