Review of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008) by Lauri S — 22 Feb 2016
It seems the writers decided to only page through the book and pick out random bits they liked while making the rest up.
Caspian was one of my favorite books in the series and was butchered for the screen. Writers cut the magical charm of C.S. Lewis, cut the most intriguing parts of the plot, and what is left is somewhat well acted, visually stunning flop. The cheesy ending music and the awkward Caspain/Susan hinted romance is completely unnecessary. Trumpkin comes across as a one dimensional grump instead of the sarcastic wit that he is in the book.
The only saving factor was the brilliantly portrayed Reepicheep.
