Review of The Christmas Candle (2013) by Norma J — 23 Nov 2013
Second time to watch enjoyed it even more! Beautiful scenery, acting, moving and inspirational legend, with strong Biblical principles of God's surprising ways of relating to us, and us to each other.
Susan Boyle's acting debut and singing were special! Filmed in the UK--awesome setting--now being distributed in America. What a serendipity as we enter into the seasons of Thanksgiving and Christmas.
...! Some were saying they would buy the DVD and watch it every Christmas....I've frequently found that my tastes run quite counter to the elite reviewers, and this is no exception. I agreed with one: "It is a pro-faith film with empathy for the doubters and a Christmas film that celebrates the hope of the season.
Mostly, though, it is a film that reminds us that sometimes good things come from unexpected sources.".
