Review of The Choice (2016) by Chris F — 24 Apr 2016
The Choice is another generic Nicholas Sparks film with about every romantic cliche that exists. The film as an extremely generic plot about neighbors falling in love. Teresa Palmer and Benjamin Walker had fine chemistry, but there performances individually weren't great.
But I don't think it is their fault. They had basically nothing to work with. The script is so generic and heavy handed. It is very over sentimental. At least it gives some funny moments. The "choice" stated in the film's title is extremely annoying.
I won't spoil what it is, but I strongly disliked it. Overall, if you love these movies, you'll probably like this. But if you are an intelligent moviegoer, avoid this film at all cost.
