Roland Winters first effort as Charlie Chan is dull and uninspired with way too much footgae devoted to the clueless detective investigating the crime and his reporter girlfriend. This does feature a lot more interesting locations than the previous Chan film, "The Trap", but in the end is only worth watching as a curiosity piece to check out the new Chan.
