Review of The China Syndrome (1979) by Sunnie D — 01 Feb 2009
Great thriller. its kinda like a serious doctor strangelove meets network. Jack lemmon can do no wrong. the more I watch of this man's incredible career its eve more amazing to watch his growth. I very much believe that in jack's early days he came across as a personality actor and as time passed and film changed, he changed into and incredible character actor.
he gives such a solid performance in this film. Jane fonda is becoming one of my heros as far as actors go when you think of how beautiful she is and how easily it could have been for her to become a product rather then an artist.
but her will to take on roles like this which require range and skill is why she is one of the greatest to have ever lived. this movie shows a lot of strong performances from a lot of gifted actors and is a fun thrill ride.
