"The China Syndrome" serves as a warning, circa the 1970s, about the potential dangers of nuclear power. In some ways, it is a compelling thriller but the story gives in to thriller cliches (the car ramming another car off the road and Jack Lemmon being chased by shady looking guys).
That being said, the cast is outstanding especially Jack Lemmon who nails his part in every respect of those words.
