"The China Syndrome" has nearly everything you want out of a thriller. It puts ordinary people in extraordinary situations. And normal people is what makes "The China Syndrome" so good.
Jack Lemmon's character, Jack Godell, is a normal man caught in a bad situation. Jane Fonda's Kimberly Wells is caught by accident in the same situation as Godell. Together, they try to uncover a conspiracy to silence shoddy construction in a nuclear reactor.
Wilford Brimley and Michael Douglas round out the cast to near perfection.
