Review of The Children's Hour (1961) by An T — 25 Feb 2008
It was indeed very daring for those two popular actresses to play the leads in this Lillian Hellman's play adaptation.
Even if William Wyler's is still stagey a film, the actors are all top notch (yes I wanted to kill the girl too!) and I couldn't help but think about 'Atonement' where a girl's lie wrecks the life of innocent people - even if both films couldn't be more different.
