Review of The Children's Hour (1961) by Amanda E — 07 Apr 2008
A high point for both Hepburn and MacLaine. Brilliant performances keep the controversial subject matter (for 1961) from dipping into Lifetime-esque melodrama. Also serves as a reality check for how recently our society was unable to tolerate anything other than a heterosexual lifestyle.
