Review of The Children's Hour (1961) by Sarah G — 04 Jul 2008
Anyone who likes GREAT acting needs to see this film. For me Shirley MacLaine is the best as a teacher who struggles to cope with her feelings towards another woman (Hepburn). Its quite a brutal film in the way everything goes wrong to these really nice friends, because of a wicked child's lies and the attitudes of 1960s society towards homosexuality.
Whether your gay or not its a very clever film that makes you think of how hard it must have been then to know your different , let alone know. A must for anyone:).
