Review of The Children's Hour (1961) by Jeff H — 26 Jul 2011
Outstanding performances by MacLaine and Hepburn...just exquisite. So ahead of it's time in terms of how it addresses homosexuality and these actresses were so brave to do this film. Great adaptation of Hellman's play that deals with bravery, shame, and the ability to defy the social majority for what is true and right.
So powerful and a great film. I loved it. B.
