Review of The Children of Huang Shi (2008) by James K — 25 Aug 2008
This is an amazing movie. The set alone was fantastic. The movie moves at a fairly slow to medium pace but allows you to soak up the atmosphere of the movie. The acting was interesting and believable, and made me feel like I was there with them.
Life can be very unforgiving. This movie shows us why the world was evil and unforgiving during the Japanese occupation of Manchuria/China in the early 1930's. This movie put tears in my eyes and left me feeling quite emotional.
