Review of The Children of Huang Shi (2008) by Caroline C — 13 Sep 2008
A good story and an interesting insight into some Chinese history and politics of the 1930s. The Chinese kiddies were good but the main stars (who all are usually quite good actors) seemed a bit wooden and stilted.
I felt the romance was a bit superfluous to needs though... like if Oskar Schindler had shagged someone instead of getting on with it. You know?
