Natestreally strong perfomances from all of the cast,great story real tear jerker. negatives the film makers left out one of the main people from the true story possibly to curry favour with american/chinese box offices.
the true story involves a gentleman called rewi alley whom thay suspected was a communist and gay to which there is no evidence of the latter. Rewi played an integeral role in walking the children to safety and then setting up the school in shandan.
the only blot on an otherwise fantastic film... must see !!!!!
