Review of The Cheetah Girls: One World (2008) by Suresh M — 24 Aug 2008
I can't believe I sat through this entire movie. It was the classic case of TV hypnotism turning my mind into a lazy couch potato.
That being said, it was not a bad movie. And the fact I sat thru the entire movie must mean it was sort of good.
Although it is sort of a no brain story of a bunch of very young 20-somethings or 19 somethings, I'm not sure, they all had enough charm and even good enough pretentious chemistry to allow one to just go with the movieplot's flow.
I did. The photage of India is quite remarkable. I don't really recall much of the movie, but the songs were good, cutesy pewtsy and girly. Oh do recall that one of the Cheetah's had some sort of obsession of elephants staring at her and I learn that Indian tradition considers an elephant staring at you to be good luck.
I guess I got that much educational value out of this movie. Given that I wasn't even in the mood for watching a movie and, that I made thru the entire movie, I'll give this a generous 3 stars.
