Review of The Cheetah Girls (2003) by Zeryna Z — 17 Jul 2012
Honestly, this movie had a good antagonist, great plot, and a real life scenario--girl's trying to get famous having to make chooses about whether or not they're willing to do what it takes to get there.
Now, I was a little girl when I watched this, so of course the fashionable, fun (pretty archetypal) characters appealed to me. The girl's being of different economic and ethnic backgrounds is something Disney won't address again in their films until many movies after this.
But these girls aren't totally Mary Sues--they lie, they overlook things, they're impulsive, they have attitude, and they fight. All in all, it was a really great DCOM.
