The first half of "The Changeling" was just boring. There was just nothing happening. When things did start to happen, they all made very little sense, and not in a scientific way, but it a "that's not what a real person would do" way.
Everyone's motives were weak, even the ghosts. He seemed to be hell bent on exacting revenge on a person who hadn't really done anything to him. He went from a very benign but seemingly nice enough ghost, to insanely malicious and powerful.
It just didn't make sense.
