Review of The Change-Up (2011) by Anya S — 07 May 2012
The Change-Up promised hilarious laughter and shocking moments provided by both Ryan Reynolds (Mitch) and Jason Bateman (Dave) best friends from childhood now grown adults with lives that they've grown to accept. But on one fateful night the two set out about town complaining about their problems with women, jobs (or lack there of) while ending up in a drunken stupor eventually finding themselves with full bladders and nowhere to relieve themselves, except for a fountain. Here they drop trow and piss away both claiming that they wished that they could switch lives. And in true freaky friday fashion they wake up the next morning to find that their wishes came true.
As the movie progresses each character gets to see how other people have been effected by their actions and hearing their loved ones true feelings about one another. There is really no substance to what David Dobkin created, the characters come off rather shallow and in the end unlikable. I would never recommend this to anyone.
