A must-see for film buffs. It explicitly shows that Hollywood wasn't as liberal prior to this modern era. Personally, one of the things I enjoyed most about this film were the clips from over a hundred gay and lesbian films.

It makes viewers realize that without gays and lesbians (actors, directors, screenwriters), movies will not be the same today. It inspired me to look them up and put them on my Netflix due to their historical importance.

The film astutely shows that you can't defeat homosexuality because doing so is like defeating life. I say "life" in relation to nature and its universalness. This is a priceless installment in film history and I suggest everyone to watch this along with "Fabulous! The Story of Queer Cinema.

" Although our society is more tolerable toward homosexuality today, the cruel remnants of the past still lingers in some places more than others. The bit about "reading between the lines" for any sort of homosexual meanings got it perfectly.

I always do that whenever I watch a movie. This movie will tell you why (and how) people like me do that.
