Review of The Cell (2000) by Ender D — 02 Feb 2009
The Cell is one of those movies that leaves you with a feeling of "what the hell did I just watch". Not because its bad but because its unlike most anything we have seen before.... The visual fair style of it alone is arresting and disturbingly beautiful.
The main problem with the film is that you never are able to invest in the characters. Tarsem Singh's directorial debut is one that show cases his visual Brilliance but also shows his lack of expireance with character development.
.. over all the film is one that shows things that have not been seen before with an original story that just lacks the proper emphasis on character.....
