It's pretty much like the book, with perhaps not so much detail, and sturgles due to the face the major concept of the book is the unseen bonds of energy between people - and films are not known for been great with unseen anything.

So in the end it looks like a starwars jedi reunion rather then moment of enlightenment. - In fact, like the book it starts of with a great concept, but then loses its self to sillyness.
