Review of The Cave (2005) by Jarrett M — 18 May 2012
The Cave is a very standard and by-the-numbers horror film that offers little in the way of tension or scares. The story is mildly interesting and the performances are passable, but nothing in the film is overly exciting.
There is not much here beyond some nice to look at underwater photography. Another uninspired horror film from Hollywood. If you are really interested in a truely frightening horror film involving a caving expedition gone wrong, check out Neil Marshall's The Descent.
It is a better and more terrifying film than this one.
