Review of The Cave (2005) by Justin Y — 27 Aug 2007
The Descent is far scarier. However, due to its PG-13 rating (Which made its editing painfully obvious in certain places), this one leans more toward action. The one thing that makes this better than the Descent in my opinion is that the ending isn't as retarded. In addtion, just like the Descent, halfway through it just isn't as scary anymore and becomes too comforting.
In further addition, another reason that I will give The Cave more credit than the Descent is that this one was actually filmed on location and in an actual cave. So there is at least some natural beauty and mystery to add to the aesthetic quality.
