Review of The Cat's-Paw (1934) by Ali M — 28 Aug 2008
One of the strangest movies I've ever seen; a darker-than-expected political satire with a great plot and (at first) a shocking ending. Not executed as well as it should be, as the mixture of genres comes off as discomforting rather than brilliant, coupled with sometimes cringe-worthy racial stereotypes.
A real curio.
