Review of The Castle (1997) by Jeff B — 28 Sep 2011
Pretty hilarious low budget Australian comedy about a sweet and lovable family who live on the edge of an airport and are being forced out there home so the airport can expand. It's a very funny movie with a lot of great characters, the father in particular is loads of fun.
So much of the comedy involved a repetition of lines or characteristics, for example, one of the sons always wants to buy crazy items from the newspaper and the dad always seems interested, asks the price, and says it's way too much ("They're selling two authentic jousts" "How much are they asking?" "$300" "Tell them they're dreaming") It's just a really harmless, short, and fun movie, sort of like a feature length sitcom but better.
Glad I finally got around to seeing this one.
