Review of The Case for Christ (2007) by Lief T — 17 Mar 2008
Logical loopholes the size of Jupiter and heavily biased sources (I want to know why every single one of the "leading scholars" interviewed was based at a bible college or university). The historical evidence presented was rather dubious (despite claims otherwise) and I want to know why, when dealing with material that is 2000 years old, the archaeological record was not even discussed.
I did learn a few things about the bible that were interesting from a historical point of view (hence the one star), but the film did not make any sort of compelling case for Christ as the messiah or the son of God.
I certainly feel that anyone has the right to believe in the Christian faith (or any other faith, or no faith) and many intelligent people have good reasons do so. However, this film's argument was laughably weak.
