Review of The Canyons (2013) by Hugo G — 02 Aug 2013
I was very excited that Lindsay Lohan was making her comeback to movies. And although it wasn't in a huge movie or with the best director and actors, it wasn't as bad as you may think. Not because Lindsay is in it means that is gonna be horrible.
But instead, she was the best thing about the movie. She was great in all of her scenes, and she demonstrated that she can in fact act. The rest of the cast wasn't very impressive except for a few good ones.
But James Deen, the other lead actor wasn't a good choice for me. Although he had its good scenes, in the scenes that needed to be tougher, he couldn't find it's inner courage and wasn't convincing to make him look like he was really demented.
Overall, it has a somewhat interesting story that is most affected by its cinematography, low budget and bad choices of actors. But still, Lindsay Lohan is at its best and its a pleasure to watch her scenes.
