It's not often you can put a zillion A, B and C list (ok, and a few D list) stars together in a stunt film written by a car magazine editor and come out with something this good. In fact, this is the only such example I can think of.
Campy and silly? Check. A few groaners here and there? Check. But Cannonball Run succeeds with a style of comedy way ahead of its time given its '81 release date. If you've never seen it, it's good fun.
If you have, give yourself a refresher. Just don't ask where Victor found the doctor.
