Review of The Campaign (2012) by Luis P — 08 Mar 2013
Will Ferrell plays a lazy congressmen who jeopardizes his reelection run with a public gaffe. A group of cutthroat CEO's finance a naive rival (Zach Galifianakis) in a bid to take control of the district, but things go haywire as the campaign becomes vicious.
This very cynical story unleashes an onslaught of lowbrow gags and heavy-handed satire, but only a few of the jokes can bring about a laugh. I was disappointed by how sloppy and ineffective this movie was.
