Review of The Campaign (2012) by Isaac J — 29 Jul 2013
Great film!
It's hard to say who is the funniest of the two leading men as both are brilliantly cast.
Will Ferrell does play on his well known George Bush impersonations a lot here but I have to say it's to great effect.
Zach Galifianakis is awesome as the stupidly camp family man thrust in to politics to try and win favor with his unloving father Brian Cox and very nearly steals the majority of laugh out loud gags from Ferrell. Although its no Anchorman in terms of script writing it's certainly up there with the likes of Stepbrothers and The Hangover!
The Campaign is crude, offensive and very non P.C. but that's what gives this comedy a charm all of its own.
It's not amazing but it's not far off.
