The laughs could have been sharper and a bit more abundant throughout, especially towards the end, and the jokes are somewhat hit and miss, but nevertheless The Campaign is a mostly funny and entertaining film that has a silly while often hilarious script, hilarious lead performances that are very well matched, a relenting short run time, a very relevant subject, witty and raunchy social/political commentary, and a bit of an albeit obligatory but slightly charming heart as well.
