Review of The Call of Cthulhu (2006) by Robert H — 14 May 2009
A very good low-budget adaptation of HP Lovecraft's classic tale. Filmed as a black and white silent film, the movie invokes the era in which the story takes place. The use of stark lighting and bizarre camera angles add to the mystery surrounding the worship of the Great Old Ones.
Personally, I thought it was far superior to many of the low budget "modern" adaptations of Lovecraft's tales. Highly recommended to all fans of Lovecraft's dark horror. Cthulhu fhtagn.
