Review of The Call (2013) by Daniel E — 30 Sep 2013
Tense, exciting, engaging, thrilling. And then the end happens and all that work is undermined; unbelievable character shift and a narrative that goes right off the rails, with the internal logic being utterly sacrificed for an easy option.
What would have been one of the most exciting thrillers of the year becomes one of the most disappointing by virtue of the juxtaposition of the quality of the first four fifths and the last one. Nevertheless, worth renting when it comes out for a tense and quite creative experience.
