Review of The Call (2013) by Michael N — 29 Nov 2013
I really didn't expect very much out of this movie given the previews and with what I was hearing from critics. However a few friends that had scene it were saying it was a decent film so I was intrigue to watch this when I saw it on the movie network one Friday night.
After watching the film I felt it was a hit or miss. A movie that will be decent enough to not say why did I waste my time but nothing that will blow your mind away. Acting by Halle Berry and Abigail Breslin were ok and the plot seemed to be very basic as nothing about it seemed to be very different.
The cheesiest part of this movie is the ending with what Abigail and Halle's characters did to the main antagonists with locking him in the basement. I felt it was a great part but the acting was so plain and filled with cheesy one liners.
Overall I would say a Redbox film is all you need as anything more would be a stretch to justify on spending your money on.
