Review of The Caine Mutiny (1954) by Ed A — 04 Jun 2009
I have to say, I was surprised to learn that Bogey was nominated for an Oscar for his part in this film. It was certainly out of a different mould to his usual personas, I just didn't really buy his turn as a paranoid captain.
I thought Jose Ferrer put in a much stronger and more convincing performance as the abrassive defence lawyer. An ok film; again, I wouldn't rush to watch it again.
