Review of The Caine Mutiny (1954) by Steven M — 19 Sep 2010
Robert Francis' character's subplot involving his mother and girlfriend feel like unnecessary fluff, and the lengthy period leading up to Bogart's introduction could be dispensed with; once Bogart finally enters the film, it picks up the pace and the court martial - the real heart of the film - is great; the fallout from the court martial as Ferrer takes on the officers is also beautifully enacted.
