Review of The Cable Guy (1996) by Tammie K — 13 Apr 2011
It is all thanks to Doug Walker (A.K.A. The Nostalgia Critic) for giving me hope to see this film, I saw the trailer, and it looked really funny, but everybody had mixed opinions on this film, it was because of that audience that I became worried, that is until Doug Walker had put this movie on his "Movies I Like, but everybody seems to Hate" list, I jumped for joy, and when I saw it on Netflix, I enjoyed it.
It had some good laughs, and I didn't mind the dark moments, and personally I think this is Matthew Broderick's best performance, normally he stinks in films, but with the exception of Farris Bueller's Day Off and The Lion King and this movie, it seems he was really trying to pull this off for once, and it shows, otherwise, you would be reminded of "That's a lot of fish.
